Default pulling an engine

I have a 92 prelude s, with a f22a engine in it, is it possible to pull the engine and leave the tranny in the car? or is it easier to pull the whole thing out?

It would make no sense to leave the tranny in the car if it were even feasible. Take out the whole thing then take the tranny apart from the engine.

It really doesn't make any sense to leave the tranny in the car, but just do yourself a favor and pull the entire thing out. You WILL waste more time taking out the tranny while still in the car then doing it out of the engine bay.

Yeah its way too difficult to take out just the engine. When you take out the bolts to the tranny, there are these hollow, cylinder, dowel like things that hold the engine to the tranny so its still attached. Even if there werent, you need room to move the engine around to get it out and leaving the tranny there takes all the room away.
