i got a puller tool and such and its just hard as hell and i dont wanna fubar the stock stuff.....any hints on pullin th stock panel?

 

this thing is really stuck in there....is there a screw or something holding it in? i pulled all the clips out of the bottom and the top and it just doesnt wanna budge.....i removed the panel around the cluster too so thats not the issue.......HELP

why dont u post this a few days before you rip the car apart ...rather then DURING.

 

i believe there 2 screws/bolts(8mm) under the HU. the rest are clips.

correct! there are 2 8mm screws in the little door above the pocket... get those out and you will be fine

good point there mike... i never would of thought of that, id rather break something than find out how i was supposed to take it out.

thanks for the post that actually could of helped me......if i need sarcasm i can listen to my gf's daughter yall need to get your head out your *** and just help a member out......

and for reference, i had directions from crutchfield and they dont state anything about the two screws, i have enough sense that when it didnt simply pop out that somehting was still holding it back.....dug aorund for a few and found it......ended up finding http://www.8thcivic.com and they had a write up there as well

i smell... i smell... what is that... its a ban! not smart to talk **** to a mod when u have like 9 posts in total. just remember that he was helping u out by giving u the link and some info to help keep u from damaging ur set up. just keep that in mind and remember not to be a dick when someone is trying to help u.
