there are 3 "multi purpose" outputs on the s300. is there a way to use them to trigger stages of boost on an ITS boost controller? it is the older ITS msbc1 so timed control isnt an option.
Why would you bother trying to make that work when the S300 can control a boost solenoid directly and you have very easy control of boost vs. gear. The S300 boost control works awesome with an AEM solenoid.

was a good night though.........
tony the gm solenoid is consistent enough? it is in the mail on the way to get socketed so i should be able to call them today and get it setup for boost.
thanks for the reply.
ill get you back joe for the tune. im bringing the car down with no intercooler plumbing and only 1 engine mount.

he already has the boost controller....and his s300 doesnt have the boost by gear option. i'd use either the controller on a clutch switch or sell that and get the boost by gear option.
so the hondata boost controll stuff works pretty good tony? i have a s300 here for my beater to test the boost by gear stuff........but i accidentally sold my daily driver and now my new beater/daily doesnt have an engine in it. i didnt think that decision out very well haha

The boost control hardware for the ecu is $10-15. The S300 boost control is easier to use and works better than damn near any controller on the market. The GM solenoid works good with it, but it's a normally open solenoid rather than normally closed, i feel more comfortable knowing that if anything fails, it'll run off the spring rather than full boost. Not to mention the AEM solenoid does a better job of controlling boost.
cool i'll have to grab one..i have one here but its spoken for. i have a few apexi solonoids.........are those open or closed, i dont remember

The apex solenoid works good too. The 3 way solenoids like that can be run as NO or NC (normally open or normally closed).

</TD></TR></TABLE> I completely agree, the boost comes on very smooth per gear change and no more playing with speed based activation for the next stage. I had huge issues with the quad stage because if there was any tire spin it would hit the next stage and spin worse. Gear based is perfect every time.
to Hondata for doing the research for the boost controller and the onboard logging. I would be screwed without it.

what about using this control solenoid, it looks identical to the solenoid on the boost controller i just sold and it worked awesome.

jeeeez mikey you didnt put that innovative in the car yet? please dont wait as long to put the axles in, lol. j/k
i personally love the s3 boost control, it works great and is well worth the minor investment.

nah the ITS has been in the car, the axles have no choice, i have nothing else to put there. again thanks for both.
the ITS i have hooked up to the clutch, and it is sketchy at best. i mean it works well it is how i have it setup to be triggered. i dont let off of the clutch all the way. for the minor investlent i am going to get the 300 option, the ecu got there friday i am hoping i can get to them before it is sent back.
again thanks for all the input fellas.
to miller and NRG for the dss stage 5.9's i just got.

Not trying to thread jack, but how involved is accesing the s300 software to make changes. I'm not the most computer savy guy around but I am very interested in the boost control option. I spoke with my tuner about this and he said it depended on how comfortable I was about going into the software and making changes
Anyone with any input on this?

Can you be a bit more specific T1

It's really very super easy.
Download the S300 software from hondata's website and look through it.

I'm sure your tuner won't mind explaining exactly what needs to be done and how to navigate through the software.
