length of lowering springs compared to stock

is there a way to tell you have lowering springs by measuring them? i have some springs but im not sure if they really are lowering springs. if someone could tell me how tall stock springs are that would be great.
hahaha its all in the spring rates not the height...check the spring rates then check the sticky i think by tyson for the rates...heighth normally isnt how you do it...hint thats why cutting springs is bad

oh.. news to me.. thanks alot. i dont know the spring rate.. just wanted to make sure they were lowering springs before i put them on my car.

no..... its not all in the spring rates. ALL lowering springs are shorter than stock maybe not by much, but they are.
