Mileage on your orignial engine?
I'm at 188k now, engine feels like it has low compression in second gear because it gets slow then speeds up and drives great. How many miles do you have on your non rebuilt original engine?
my 89 crx is at 230.xxx k's and running very strong. 91 crx is at 290.xxx and runs like a champ. I had a 91 dx hatch and it had 330.xxx when i bought it drove it until 405.xxx k's still running with no problems ran good the car is still running to this day

I had 268,000 on my '90 Si when I sold it 3 years ago. Compression was 180 +/- 2lbs. Engine was clean enough to eat off of. No oil leaks. I should have kept her.
well, the engine isn't the OG one but its still a d16a6 and its got 250,000 on it, the car has 290,000. its a rio red 91 Si and I boost 7 lbs. daily. runs awesome. smokes alittle when I start it up though.
depends on how u drive it my old tegs ls started burning oil and knocking aroud 192k cause i beat the **** out of it. and i preatty much learned how to drive stick on it too. my buddys prelude had about 265 june of las year. so its proly around 200 now. (goes to school far away).
125k on the crx, still running strong.
490k on the sedan, but the engine is on its way out. Low compression in two cylinders and burning oil bad.

There's a guy here in OKC with a '91 DX CRX. He bought it new and has had it serviced regularly ever since. His tag says "MEDMAN1." He delivers organs and whatnot for the hospitals. He hit 400,000 miles and called Honda to let them know. They GAVE him a new insight, which he promptly put 100,000 miles on. He finally had the motor changed out on the CRX at just over 500,000. He's got all documentation and a plaque from Honda. Pretty sweet.

When the previous owner of my civic called honda to tell them that he had 490k on the car and was wondering what the most miles they have heard of having on a car they just said we are glad you have been happy with our product. He said it seemed as if this was normal for them to hear this.

1991 Crx Automatic
209,xxx on the odo when I bought it.
Had a warped cylinder head leaking coolant into #2 and #3 cylinders because the guy I bought it from wrapped a plastic sack around a heater hose instead of replacing it... Consequently it over-heated.
I just put the original head back on after machining, and some new gaskets, and it has great compression. Just need to replace the cap, rotor and coil and she'll be back on the road again.
