more torque primarily. the horsepower would be higher if i used high compression pistons.

stock bottom end... and i am gonna turbo the motor. yes all stock. run about 8lbs of boost. daily... at that compression it shouldnt be that bad. after i get out of college and get another car i am gonna pull the motor and have it completely rebuilt. all new internals, sleeved etc...

Nice job on the swap but I would use a motor like that for all motor, but that is just me.

Best of luck on your plans

cool man. my h22a went 13.90@102. shitty 2.3 60ft. on street tires. been looking into the 2.3 motors. i am looking for a good donor rite now. wanna do the bottom with type s pistons. makes more compression. but good clean work.

The fastest 4G in the world is a boosted H23 VTEC.. lol.

I just hope the owner (md23vtec) doesn't see your post.

md23vtec worlds fastest prelude is not a h23. its a h22. i would worry about u calling his car a h23 vtec more then anything.

lol. What I mean by that is, you can boost practically any motor and go fast but with an h23vtec motor you can get a faster N/A car as compared to an h22 or h23 cars.

Iono, seems like I am just blabbing

I've actually been turned to building an h23 lately, versus an h22a swap or something common like that. H23vtec seems like a good idea though!

To the Original Poster:

What are you running inside the motor?
H23 Pistons?

How does it feel compared to the H23 stock? (I know butt dyno proves nothing but still!)

Have you done anything to the H22 head?

You should throw it on a Dyno so you can see how it compares to a stock h23 and a stock h22.
