exactly.
you can try a deep polish and detail, but beyond that i wouldn't bother with anything else since you're selling it.
please don't try to dick over your buyer.

yea dude either do the $50 paint job and do it right...or just leave it for the buyer to take care of...that's not something that i think is just gonna "Buff out".
if its really bad buffing wont work. but it doesnt cost more than a few bucks and a few hours of your time if you do it yourself. if its as bad as you say, you really dont have much to lose if you accidentally go through the paint. so id try that before painting it.

lol wait what?!! why not? When you buy a car, you assume responsibility. Im not gonna fix someone else's problem for free. I mean im not an *******, but wtf? If the buyer doesnt check over the car carefully, its their deal. If someone sold me a car with fucked up paint, im wouldnt have a right to be mad at the seller. I'd just be mad at myself for not seeing it, or for ignoring it. If you're buying a car and you notice something not right, and if it bothers you that much, why buy it?
I fixed mine with some spray paint (badly) and brought it to a stealership for a trade when the car was salty and dirty. I looked over every square inch of the car i bought, and i saw all the imperfections. It was just a daily. If it mattered to me that much, i would have asked the dealer to wash the car and let me see it in the light before i bought it. Turned out fine for me, though, and the dealer sold the car i traded for a lot more than they brought it in for.
I looked over my S2000 that i bought when it was washed, at all angles, etc, etc, etc. cuz it was important that it look like it came off the showroom. If it had ONE dent, i walked away.

Good for you. To make it better the seller should sell the car at night so the potential buyer can't see the flaw. You now get a cookie. Karma is a bitch

dude, dont do anything... it wont affect price that much. if it does, it wont affect it as much as fixing the problem would. when you sell a used car, its an as is deal, if they want to fix it, let them do it after they buy it.

Oh, the dealer still saw it, and they gave me the same price. They still sold it for way more than they gave me. I mean its like this:
If you're selling a car and you need new tires...you can either put on a name brand like michelin or bridgestone for $400, or you could put on an off brand for $200.
You're selling your car for $7500, and buyers will try to lowball you anyway. If the car has bald tires, they'll try to say to take off $400-500 or more. You will typically get back $50 more for the michelins/bridgestones than no brand tires. You spent $200 more....you're getting $50 more onto the value of the car. Do the math.
Another example:
Let's say HIS car bluebooks at $4300 as is:
If he's trying to sell the car $4000 as is, or for $4500 If he fixes the paint professionally (example!!) for $500, he might sell the car for $4100 anyway. thats a loss of $400 for what?!!
It has nothing to do with karma. If you want a car to be perfect, make sure its perfect. If its not, then walk away. It's that easy. His problem is pretty easily detectable.
