That`s a good one!
Ok guys, important question for you guys! What is the difference between the exhaust of a 94-99 GSR and a 00-01 GSR exhaust system. Length of the cat?!? Length of the headers?!? Length of the complete exhaust system?!?
I would assume that the length of everything is different.
I dont know for sure, it's just what makes sense.
The entire setup(cat/header/catback) is about the same size between the two cars, and if one of the three parts is a different size, it would offset the other two.

The '94-'9 GS-R has a shorter header and a longer exhaust B-pipe than the '00-'01. The cats are the same length, but the '94-'99 GS-R has the primary (and secondary on OBD-2 models) O2 sensor located in the cat.

See, here I have a direct fit Magnaflow cat for a 96-99 GSR and it measures 17'' 5/8...and every high flow cat I looked at are 16'' 1/2...but you guys are telling me that both stock cats are the same lenght...
