hello
i am new in this forum and i am surching for a new camshaft kit for my car (H22A engine)
at this time i have the JUN Stage 2R Kit in my engine and it works really great, but i would like to have a little more power and torque
my actual power is 268PS and 259,1NM-> i dont know how many whb that are
i drive on the circuit and so i need cams and valvetrain for a long range route car, so it have to be VERY VERY perservering!!
i would not more rpm than 8500 and the crossover point should be at circa 5500 rpm
which one is the best for me?
Skunk2 PRO2
Crower3
RM M24X or M25
here is my engie setup:
Haltech E6X ECU - standalone
JUN Stage 2R Camshaft KIT (cam, retainer, springs, sprockets))
ported and polished BB1 head
Ferrea Valves -> IN 36mm oversice, EX stock
GoldenEagle sleeved block 89mm bore
GoldenEagle 89mm Headgasket
ARP Head bolts
JE custom Pistons 12,2:1-12,5:1 compression (cubic 2257ccm)
Eagle rods
crankshaft balanced und balance shaft removed
JUN Flywheel
Exedy cerametalic clutch kit
GruppeM Intake
Skunk2 Intake Manifoldi with 40mm reduced runner
Skunk2 68mm throttle body
RC 440 fuel injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump
AEM pressure regulator
AEM underdrive pulleys
special single-ignition system
Hytech longtube custom header 2,5”
Buddy Club Spec III exhaust 65mm
Moroso Oil Pan
Mocal oil radiator

well i can tell you one thing. i dont think you are going to hear a single person tell you to swap your juns for something else. you already have a sick setup.
you are putting down 264whp and 192ft-lbs thats pretty insane to tell you the truth. thats up there with the highest hp from an H22 ive ever heard.

if you have the money to test then i would try the m24x(even tho i havent seen a dyno yet). if you put a 95mm crank in their then i would try the m25.
but even with your setup maybe just a crank swap would gain you a dramatic bump in hp and torque..

he is right, your setup is alread tight

I guess its easier to indiv. coil setup with the haltech

thanks for your posts and help!!!!!!
my engine builder works more than 10 years with haltech and i am very happy with that
i drive an european Accord Type R and it will not fit with a hondata
this result was with my old setup from last year:
88mm bore, stock Euro R IM, AEM V2, Hytech short tube header, stock valve sice
but the engine have damaged and i dated it up with some new parts
so i would also change the cams for testing
if i go to a cam with more lift than the JUN (12,2mm), i must also change the valvetrain; i dont know how much lift the JUN valvetrain can make?
my favorites are:
Skunk2 PRO2
RM M25 intake and M24X exhaust cam if it´s possible to mix it
have anyone facts from the RM degrees @1mm?
can i drive it with oversice intake valve (36mm)?
thanks a lot for your help!!

Your going in the right direction
Intake and exhaust cams can be ordered seperately.

that is not correct
this power is the power @ the engine; in europe we acquire the engine power
in whb that are: 229whb and 168ft-lbs

i have one more questsion:
can i drive the RM M25 intake and M24X exhaust cams drive with the JUN Stage2R valvetrain???
how many rpm are the maximum of this valvetrain???
i can not find any facts about it
or is it better to change against RM valvetrain?
my engine run always with european 100 octane (Schell V Power or OMV 100)
about the oil pump:
i have the H22A7 engine; that have a little better oil pump; its nearly the same as the circuit worx one

you might be better off selling the old hardware and upgrading to rocket stuff.
the m25x is a big cam
what is your current compression?

the JUN lift is 12,2mm in and 11,9mm ex
the RM lift is 12,1mm in and ex, but more degrees
i dont know the degrees about 1mm-> but thats very interesting for me
have the RM valvetrain anybody brocken?

i forget the m25 has less lift then the h24x go figure
i havent heard any stories about them.
if the jun spring/retainers is rated for higher lift then you should be good

run a hondata over a haltech. Best one ive heard in a long time.
looks like his numbers are a hell of alot better than any hondata tuned h22 ive seen....and alot of others, from the looks of it.
