fuel pump not running after zc swap

fuel pump not running after zc swap
did a zc swap on my friends dx hatch, been through the dpfi-mpfi wiring and it all seems to be right but the fuel pump is not coming on. any ideas? we tested for power at the connector and there is none. we have ground from 2 of the four wires and there is enough ground at one of the others to barely light the test light.
