walbro 255lph W/JRSC fuel pressure too high>??
hi ppl. i just installed my walbro 255lph fuel pump into my car which is a stock gsr with the jrsc kit running an FMU still. My fuel pressure is reading like 48psi with vacuum line still connected it wont change, and it was at 70 psi with the vacuum line off.... what is the fuel pressure supposed to be at? vacuum line on and off at idle would be nice --do i need to drill my stock fpr for the return?? but its stock...
thanks jimmy

That sounds about right. It's one of the downfalls of the basic kit. You could drill the fpr attached to your fuel rail but if it were me I'd just pick up a aem fpr or something similiar.

The FMU's used to come preset with a baseline pressure of 60psi static (vacuum line off) straight from Jackson racing. So your not that far off.
Have you loosened the jamnut on the fmu and tried lowering your base static fuel pressure with the adjustment screw? I'd shoot for 55psi or below.
Ps...When you do the adjustment, adjust the static pressure (vacuum line off.) Cap the hole with something while your doing it. Use your finger if you have to.

Yeah i've tried adjusting it already, my idle fuel pressure wont change, its alwase at 48 psi, and with the vacuum line off i've changed it to like 56psi but i think thtast too low what do u think?

You can't really do the adjustment with the vacuum line attached.
I'd do the 56psi static that you had it at.
56psi base + 30 psi of fuel pressure (6lbs of boost times 5 to 1 fmu = 30) = 86. I think that'd be pretty good. It's about the max that your walbro could handle.
