I have a jdm b18 itr that has the rockers all fkked up from a set of rocket cams...

CAN I USE ANY B SERIES VTEC ROCKERS FOR MY CAR???? What years are applicable??

I am asking because for one rocker arm set (i need 8) is 145 bucks shipped...i am looking into find a teg head in a salvage yard or some teg rockers from a yard so i dont have to pay over 1100 bucks just for rockers...THANKS

How did the cams mess up ur rocker arms?

 

they dug into the rockers over a period of 20,000 mi... and the cams broke oh and they were flattend out as well

 

yes you can use any Bseries vtec rockers in your head

 

sounds like clearance issues to me, never heard of the MAGICAL ROCKET cams doing this to anyone...

 

alright then...anyone have a b series head in good condition for sale...hah be cheaper for me...

for sure clearance problems...did you use oem spec lash clearances?? theyre not supposed to dig in more than .001" into the rocker pad for normal wear...(from what i have seen) how deep did they dig into your rockers approx.?

 

Rocket>OBX anyday. Why did you get OBX cams? your digging yourself a bigger hole.

 

i bought the jdm itr hatch with the cams in it...i havnt ever checked the valve clearances in the year i have been driving it. I am going to buy some more rocket cams and i have the tools now to adjust the valves this time around. just certain rockers wore down more than others...all the exhaust rockers were wore down about the same but on the very inside portion of the rocker..it was wierd but i also assumed valve clearances after this ordeal...

 

yeh i bought the obx cams kinda like impulse bought because rocket took forever to make some cams ...about 2 months of waiting...pretty crazy but i decided to take the easy way out and go rocket so i dont have to tune...
