CEL on '94 EX
I did search (77 results, but I didn't find what I was looking for yet...)
Car is a 1994 Accord EX, auto trans.
This morning on the way to school, the car throw's a CEL... I went to pull out on one road (after the CEL came on), not driving hard or anything... car gets up to about 3K, and bogs really bad, back down to around 2600. It then pics back up and shifts fine. I looked at the speedo, I was doing 35 in a 40 so I tried to speed up a little. Eased on the gas, the car bogs and goes nowhere. I picked up my food at Bojangle's, came back to school, parked and turned the car off. Waited a little bit, turned it back on and the CEL is gone?
What I'm after is the code chart for a 5th gen, school isn't out yet so I can't check it to see what it is. I don't want to drive it anywhere until I know what is wrong... so any help before the next hour is up would be GREATLY appreciated.
I have a paperclip, I read that I need that. Where do I check for the CEL at? Kick panel on drivers side?

please do not bump the thread so fast, I know your in a hurry but... Give people time to respond. If your thread is still on the first page, there is no need to bump it.
I read that if the back-up fuse is blown that the ecu won't store the code. Read that in a recent thread.

Alright, I found a code chart right after I bumped it (sorry, I was in a big hurry) and checked it. Code 22... the light hasn't came back on, but it's the vtec pressure switch/soleniod. Should I just replace them to fix this? The light has stayed off, I hit vtec in the parking lot at school after everyone left to see if it would come back on, but it hasn't.
Also, another n00b question. How do I get the radio to turn back on? I know that I need my 5-digit code, but the "enter code" is not showing up on my radio.
Thanks for your help man
Edit: I was told by one of my friends thats a certified Honda Tech to pull out the radio fuse, disconnect the battery and then put them both back... but still no radio?

Some 94's didn't have code protection....did you try turning on the head unit? It should say 'code' if you need the security code. Is the plug on the back of the head unit plugged in properly?
I would think it is... It worked right before I checked the code. I've disconnected the battery too, still no luck. The manual says to leave the radio in the "on" position for an hour, tried that as well. I might just have to take it to the dealership and ask them what's wrong. I've tried everything!
No power to it, haven't checked the cig lighter. I'll check tomorrow am. I read in the Haynes it said to pull the radio 7.5 fuse under the hood for 10 seconds, did that. What do I need to do to see if that fuse is still good? (like what to look for)
THANK YOU SO MUCH for responding to this thread. You sir are the man.

make sure you pull the right fuse.
to check it, pull it out and look at it. Even if it looks ok, it might not be. Try another fuse in there. I can almost bet you that that fuse its blown.

theres a piece of metal inside that you can see, that connects to both sides. if its not connected anymore and broken in the middle its blown.

theres a good fuse and a bad fuse side by side

I checked the backup underhood fuse, it was fine. Should I check the main fuse (behind the deck I'm guessing?)
Also, I know what the CEL is that I had, but I haven't done anything about it... WTF should I do for the vtec soleniod/pressure switch? I don't know it it has anything to do with it, but I've been using an ASSLOAD of gas since that light came on. It has not came on since I checked the code last week but mpg is crap.
?
