E-break, or Wheel Hub Bearing ?
This morning when I got home from jack in the crack I noticed all this screeching in my rear right wheel. When I back up real slow it sounds like a spring then I go faster and is a loud moan sound. When I drive forward its like your scrapping two knives together. I went by a shop my friend works at and they all thought it was either my E-break or my Wheel Hub Bearing ? Anyone had this problem? 99 gsr.
I have the same problem with my 94 ls back right wheel when i turn right i hear a scrapping noise I have no clue i tryed pulling my ebrake up just to wear it a little didnt work.. good question

Because it's on a tensioner.
OP: You're asking a general question and I'm quite sure the answer is: Yes, people have had this problem before. If your mechanic friends gave you a diagnosis, then act on it and get it fixed.
Start with the cheapest solution first, which is checking the E-brake.

i agree with sam92teg...i have a 2000 gsr and when i bought it i would hear a high pitched scrapping noise when i turned right..i had no idea what it was so i took it to acura, it was my wear indicator of my rear left inner brake pad and they charged me 200 dollars to do a "rear-brake-service-a.k.a.-rip-me-off"
