Default Front Bumper replacement 01 Type R

I just wanted to make sure. Will a front bumper from a 98-01 Integra (non-Type R) fit correctly onto a 01 Type R? I'm pretty sure it does, I just wanted to make sure before I go out and by one.

Thanks,
Jon

When I put mine on my ITR, it was not an ITR specific part. I got mine OEM from the dealer new for $225. Primed, but not painted.

make sure you get an OEM one, otherwise, you'll be extremely sorry.

Thanks for the great advice. I'm debating on just replacing the front bumper and leaving it USDM or buying a JDM front end. How much work goes into doing the JDM front end? I know you have to weld the radiator support and stuff, but how much could I do myself?

Thanks,
Jon

The reason I have that carbon lip is because I put it in a ditch a few years ago. I had just bought my Azenises and I went too fast around a corner and drifted it right into a ditch. It still looks like that, it's just that the lip is cracked and the hood is fading pretty bad. Anyone have any experience getting their carbon fiber hood re-coated or anything? My friend works at a body shop and he thinks that if you buff it with some heavier duty stuff that the fade will come out. I had the car buffed by somebody else (not my friend) about 3 months ago and the hood looked great, but then within a month it looked like shiat again. Any suggestions?

Thanks guys,
Jon

Sounds like with your hood, if its a black car its clear coat failure. So only choice is to repaint.

If its white or yellow, i believe they have no clear coat so try a clay bar, and buffing, then some good sealant.

It's a carbon fiber hood, not the original hood. My original hood got hail damage and I decided to buy a carbon fiber hood to replace it and pocket the money. I wish I would have gotten it fixed now. Oh well, live and learn right?

depending on how much clear is left on the hood, you should get a prof. detailer to wetsand, cut polish, power glaze, then handwax it. and it should come out looking better than new.
