Default wheels keeps coming loose...

for some reason my wheels keep on becoming loose...i have 18x7.5 42+ offset CHROME MOMO SPORTS...with 215/35's...car is not dropped...I am using my stock lugs and locks...this happens after about a week after first put on...during the first week they are fine, then about after a week my steering wheel starts shaking and i notice that the wheels are wiggling...my guess was that the wheels are too heavy, but my friend says that has nothing to do with it...suggestions?

most aftermarket rims require a different style of lugnut.

the factory lugnuts are rounded like an acorn where they contact the rim.

you need aftermarket / tuner lugnuts with a non-rounded design.

\/ is what you NEED.
U is what you GOT = for use with aftermarket wheels.

yeah you need a tapered lug that's designed for 'tuner' wheels. like owen said, you need it to look like this- V
btw, you better stop driving the car till you get those, you're gonna elongate your lug openings on your rims and then nothin will ever hold them down!

That link has just the locks. You'll need all the lugs. But that design is what you're after.

Go to Discount Tire today and get some. I think they are like $1.50 or something each from them. I'm sure other local places will have tuner style lugs too. Discount has the Gorilla lugs.

You need tuner lugs. Did you wheels come with plastic hub-centric rings?

It might look tight but they are way to big for your car. Plus with your car not lowered your sitting on stilts man. If you do end up lowering your car 18s with scrape your inner wheel well even if you get the fenders rolled.
