k so mainly i looked into a radar detector and it seemed like the Valentine1, passport 8500 x50, and Beltronics were all very good i ended up going wit a passport. soo mainly my question is what are some goods/flaws with the 8500, distance for detection good? bad? certain things i should look out for? if u can just give me a little overview of ur use/opp of the item thanks a bunch.

Great detector. Awesome range. It's saved me countless tickets...

I got the hardwire kit & visor clip from their website & did a stealth install so I didn't have to look at the cord all day...

 

If you really want to research this, and learn way more, go to: http://www.radardetector.net/ I went there and looked around and read everything for a while, great info, great guys. I ended up buying a v1, its great, its also hard wired.
