Timing Belt and Maintenance Required Indiator from Green to Yellow
Hi to all seniors here,i am driving a 95'Accord Sedan 4 doors LX. Pardon me for asking... What does the Maintenance Required Indicator means when lights up Yellow colour from Green. What does it means>? What should i suppose to do? What servicing should i do for the car? Should i push to a garage for it? Any recommendations of the shop that can help me with it? If i drive to the authorise dealer Honda, how much will it cost?
The other question is how much does it cost to change a new timing belt cause its been 5-6 years that it was last changed. Any recommendations of shop/garage around Irving,McArthur TX 75063 ? Is there any symptoms that the timing belt is going to wear out??
Thanks. Appreciate any sincere reply....

Maint. indicator is simply a reminder based on miles. What particular service is required depends on mileage = check your owner's manual.
Oh i see, thanks for that. By the way any recommendations for any good dealer that can fix up my maintenance around Irving,Mcarthur?
Miles & time for the timing belt life is in your owner's manual. Probably 90k miles or 7 years or something like that. Honda OwnerLink website has it too.
The timing belt can be inspected, but it doesn't always show up very long before teeth start breaking off. So most of us don't trust the method of inspection. It's an interference engine, so if the timing belt goes, your pistons can hit the valves.
You can make up a list of scheduled maintenance based on the owner's manual & find out when each one of those services was last done to your car. Kind of a pain but then it's all organized for the future.
I don't live anywhere near you so I wouldn't know who's a good shop around there.
