What are the benefits you were lookin for? Looks to be heavy, bring alot of heat near the rad, a PITA oil return, etc... A for effort though

old lovefab sidewinder. it realy wasnt heavy . the mani was made of much thinner bends than most so it was fairly light. All the weight it did add was over the front wheels.I would say it was a few Lbs over a stocck cast mani. Never had any over heating problems even in the AZ summer.oil return was really good it was longer than most but at a good angle.

I think this looks easy to work on, but probably would have flanged right after the 02 to make it even more convienent. No more busting your *** on the ground to get at the 02 and everything looks fairly accessable.

good work!

Dang, with all that work and clutter, you may as well have extended the engine bay a little.

i just don't understand why you would make something like that...
you have a much longer dp, and a hell of a lot more of it is in the engine bay, which will probably send the under hood temps crazy..not to mention its damn close the radiator hoses and to the radiator, which won't do much for coolant temps either...
i'm sure the charge piping has to be goofy as hell and make some insane bends to around the radiator and to the ic..
you can't fit a filter, from what it looks like, on the turbo..

the only way i could view this setup as beneficial would be if you were running like a 5'' dp...but your not. i guess it looks cool, but IMO function>being different/form.
Why not go the easier/more practical/tried-and-true route and just get an equal length mani w/ a 3''dp? or an equal length topmount and a 4'' dp...

well the mani was a gift from my brother so i wasnt going to get rid of it. i agree with most of what you said tho. it was nice to have an almost straight shot for the downpipe out of the turbo. The car never ran hot or overheated and i couldnt ever tell a under hood temp diff between this car or my drag kit integra. It might have been bc the half rad let air pass right to the manifold to cool it? I never intended to run a filter on this car just a screen and a cut up fillter. the bends on the charge pipe were the same as most other set ups i have seen. It was just a little bit longer. Really it had less bends bc i was able to slope it from the turbo tho the ic that was a full race back door. I do agree with the KISS method when it comes to cars but this kit was really easy to work on (you could get to every bolt without jacking up the car) and made good power. 325hp at 10psi on a vafc tune

hell ya man, if it works, it works
I just thought the design seems like goofy, but if it does supply easy access to the dp and o2 sensor, and if it doesn't make every hotter, i'd say it's pretty sweet.
I figured you were running on of the fmic's with the inlet and the outlet on the same side, and it would have crazy bends. it never occured to me you had a backdoor style. And those are def good numbers, innovation

ya i'm not sure how much room you have, but if you mounted your radiator where your air conditioning normally goes, you could prolly cut your piping down drastically with an ic like that. maybe a backdoor style w/ both on the same side?
