I was woundering if anyone has used the OBX Turbo manifold. Are they a good company well known for there products to hold up. It's going to be for a d17 running only 5psi.
Just wanted to know what everyone thinks of them.

 

They are getting better, you will hear a lot of stories of cracking manifolds........ But not bad for the money, but you could find a better manifold else where for a little bit more $.

 

There is a guy on CB7tunner (lodollar92lX) that used it and made 430whp, no cracks, nothing, im planning on using one with my setup 400+whp i might re-weld the welds on it just to be sure, cant go wrong for around $300 shipped tho!

 

The welds are not the issue. Its the quality of the metal being used- its horrible, and made in china.Their manifolds usually crack where there is stress from pressure, like weakness in the surface area. You can find better quality in products from the Dollar Store.

Save a 'lil more cash to get something with a good warranty- trust me- its worth it in the long run.

 

Does anyone know if u can use power steering with the b-series ramhorn manifold?

 

If the manifold does crack, cant you just weld it up? and if it does crack it does not pose any threat to the turbo, or the engine.
