Hi guys i went to the track again yesterday, now with 2000 ITR cams installed. no tuning just dropped them in. my best time before was 15.01 at 94 mph this was with I/H/E. i didnt get many runs last night but my best time was a 14.72 at 96mph. i think i could probably get a 14.5 with new tires and a better launch becasue my 60 foot was at 2.37 wich is crap. anyway for you guys who want ITR's this is what you can expect

 

what was ur time before the itr cams? i'm consdering to go into negatives territory to get some 00 itr cams.

quick man cut up those cards! hehe, i think it was worth it. i'm happy with the results. I know that with better tires and a couple more runs 14.5 was in my reach, even though a 96mph trap speed is good for a 14.0. i dont understand though how i can be as fast as an ITR? theyve got higher compresion better valvetrain minor PP and a killer tranny. i dont get it.

 

if u want to pick up more horsepower...u can advance the timing 18 degrees at distributor and 2 degrees for the intake and -1 degree for the exhaust if u have some cam sprockets...just watch for detonation coz mine runs good with this setup...all cars are different...

 

I think its the mid range grunt that the GSR has over the R.With slight mods you get the hp up to par and have more TQ.But I could be wrong.

Cams can do wonders for a GS-R.

 

with new tires, a better launch and your engine tuned you're gonna get some awesome times. congrats man!
