difference between b18a b18b crank pulley and gear?

Default difference between b18a b18b crank pulley and gear?

is there a difference between the gear that goes on the crank and the crank pulley? I bought this crank but i didn't know it was b18b and i have a b18a block with a b18b crank and b18a pulley and gear and its not goin on so smooth so i was wondering do i need b18b stuff? thanks!

Are you talking about the timing belt gear? How is it not going on smoothly?

B18A and B cranks are the same, crank pulley's are the same and technically this gear should be the same aswell

hmmn yeah the timing belt gear, it does not wanna go on at all. could i like lightly sand it or something?

so is it not going on at all or going on with some difficulty?
where exactly did you get this gear from?

You shouldn't even need to "sand it"...it should slide on fine

it came with the motor, i got it on like halfway but it was a struggle the whole way and gettin it off was even harder. your not supposed to use any type of oil right?

no not really. So it with the engine and wasn't installed? if thats the case...this is probably not for it.

You can try to use some oil and try to spin it and lube it up
