DOes ANYONE KNOW WHAT THESE ARE??? PLZZ HELP
I have a 1994 acura integra ls and have had the car for about two years. Right now my car is not starting because i am not getting any spark, but i checked a crap load of things and was wondering what these were.
This little red light right by my shifter is always on and i want to know what it is for. And i would also like to know what this little red button switch is for, like if it is a kill switch of some sort that is preventing my car from starting or something.

any info on these would be great.. thanx

TO post a pic you have to upload it to somewhere that hosts images on the web. Then you put the [*img] tag then the link to the pic then close the tag [*/img]
without the * though

I see you got pics working !
As far as the button i have no idea, try and see where the wires from it are going to. Trace them back and you will find what its connected too. Could of been anything like kill switch, alarm, button for like neon lights, etc.

I just removed the alarm itself, heres pic of it and could this have anything to do with the car not getting any spark?? Im just open to any suggestions at this point lol

try pushing the button and cranking the engine.
when i first got my teg, it was abused by the previous owner like im assuming yours was. i had two wires sticking out of the panel between the door and the clutch pedal and if you didnt have the wires touching when you turned on the car it would sound the alarm.

so the resistance across the ignition coil is good then???
there are only a few things that will cause no spark. most of which reside inside the distributor.
does your CEL function properly, turn key on, CEL stays on for 2-5sec while fuel pump primes and then turns off, or does it never go out???

it looks like you had just a basic alarm system with keyless entry installed. The wiring on the back shows NO wiring that would go to the ignition which would keep it from starting so i doubt that your alarm had anything to do with it...
the button is just a valet switch for the alarm, which would be used to disable the alarm system when you didn't want it to arm/disarm.
Hopefully you left the wiring connected or it may be possible that now you have 2 problems.. a car that wont start and no more keyless entry...
stupid question... did you check all your fuses in the car and under the hood???

Well that would not matter considering i never got any remote for it for keyless entry, so that is least of my worries right now lol.
But yess, i checked all the fuses in and under the hood. Visually checked em, test light, and used meter as well.

How would i check to see if im getting power to the distributor??
I have a meter, but where would i check?? The coil is fine inside but just wondering if theres more to check inside the distributor

hmm the one under your steering wheels is a booty call. ahah sick old school. and the one near your shift booth most likely its a alarm signal. not sure. ahaha but yeahh..
i had a friend with a booty call button. push the button and it would whistle "whew, whew." I don't know if this matters since the alarm is out, but my girlfriend had civic where she had to hold a reset button for five seconds and then turn the key. It sounds like the car is cranking over though since the battery and starter are good?
Hey, the red button is for the alarm. Its so you can program the alarm. If you didn't cut any of the wires try this. Reconnect the brain (the black box you removed.) For most alarms this is the way you put it into valet mode. (valet mode = disables the alarm system.) Turn the key to the on position. Hit the red button once. Turn the key to the off position. Usually now the light will glow constantly. This indicates you are in valet mode. Attempt to start the car. Hope that helps you.
