Auto to Manual swap but car wont rev past 5K
I did an auto to manual swap on my 2000 Intergra and now the car wont rev past 5k rpm.
All the wiring was done correctly except for the vss sensor plug being broken.
Also can the auto ecu do this cuz i am still running this ecu
Any help is appreciated
Thanks

What ECU are you using? Some hondas have a speed limiter at 120mph. Which usually works out to be around 5k. No input from VSS means the ECU cant see speed....so it just limits everything down to 5K, since the tach is the next available input. Basically, one way or the other, your car thinks you're going 120 when you hit 5k. Buy a VSS plug.
You cant use an AUTO ecu with a manual motor. There are completely different timing maps, and your ECU keeps telling your trans to shift, and the motor to change timing at certain shift points. It doesnt know when to shift, because there are no inputs for it obviously, and there are no shift solenoids. and it also doesnt know how fast you're going due to the broken VSS plug If you're using an AUTO ecu, your car doesnt have to be topped out...it cant see speed or shfit points, so it safely limits revs to 5k.
