Default spoon valve cover DIY paint?

i want to paint my valve cover yellow spoon does anyone know what kind of yellow it is? and also is it glossy?

VHT yellow caliper paint its heat resistant and the color is so close no one can tell. Now good luck with the sharpie and the signature!

what do you use to mask off the HONDA DOHC VTEC writing on the valve cover so that it doesn't get sprayed?

you don't have to mask the lettering. just paint over them and then sand it off when your done

I'll tell you what i do. I take a screw type tube of chapstick and carefully put a coat over everthing you don't want painted. Let the paint dry. The parts you didn't want painted will peel right off. Sanding works, but i found it doesn't make the aluminum look factory.

i used an electric palm sander to sand my "H" and honda back to silver. it took all of a few seconds and it looked better than before.

actually if you go to kmart and get yellow paint the lid says "jdm spoon yellow"
