Default VTec Controller messing up the RPM gauge.

I bought a 99 GS-R with a JDM front clip. It has custom intake and injctors thats not made by Acur or Honda. It has a A'PEXi VTEC Airflow Converter inside. The RPMs that are shown on the screen of this thing dont match what the tachometer shows. And the difference gets bigger as the RPMs increase. For example, at 1500 RPM actual, the tacho shows 2800, and at 3000 RPM Actual, it shows almost 5000rpm. Is there a way to fix that?
