You also have to change the plastic clips in the fender to accept the tabs in the 90-91 corners. Why don't you just buy a set of 88-89's? Don't like the way they look or something?

The company is in El monte and its like 25 shipped for amber ones; but its you want to pay 100+ for some smoked ones, be my guest.

sure its possible, but secure
...you need the clips from 90-91 and dont be careful not to break them because they are fragile "wait your going to honda, not junkyard". I know you need the clips that they slide into becuase you have screws differing from inside 90-91 and outside 88-89...

so the honda dealership should sell them right?
so i need the clip where the top of the corner lights mounts too and what else is that it?
thanks
what if i use '90-91 headlights. would that work rather then just getting the clip? just changing out the whole headlight or are they different?

its complicated and im @ work so i cannot see exactly the way it works, if its not posted here then check on google or something it will probably take a lot of self-fabrication, and if you feel you are not sure about it just wait until you know the plan and yyou are comfortable with it...thats why my car isnt boosted yet...i could for sure set it up but if you understand more, you can prevent more, and make the job 100 times cleaner, safer, and reliable...
I just did this swap on my '89 REX. You need the actual headlight buckets from a 90-91 to make the corner lights work, the headlights themselves are actually the same through all the 88-91s. and then you also need the all ready mentioned clips that snap into the fender where you old screw type clips (for the 88-89s) come out. and that's it, that's all you need to make the newer corner lights fit
I swapped the entire 90 front end cause my '89 was messed up and to be honest, I just really prefer the look of the 90 front end and the corner lights that don't show screws, and the clear bumper lenses..........just well worth it IMO.

I've been waiting for this post
I like the screwless too.
In fact I like the whole CRX front end better then the civic so I swapped that....CRX front on da hatch
