Default F it I will build my own turbo kit

Okay guys after searching and searching I decided to build me own turbo kit.

Here's what I have so far in mind still needs a bit of tweaking but I got a pretty solid picture what I want.

Love Fab AC mini-me manifold
Love Fab AC Downpipe
Love Fab Charge piping kit
Tail 44mm wastegate
Tail 11psi BOV
Garrett GT2871R Housing Size (.86) Trim (56)
Oil & water complete kit all braided
Aero 2 Complete Universal intercooler 300x300x73
Walbro 500hp in tank fuel pump
p28 ecu tuned with hondata

Still need a good set of fuel injectors....

Let me know what you guys think and what numbers you think I might be posting after the install?
I'm shooting for a quick spooling setup as this car will be used for some racing......

you might want to reconsider the turbo size.

Personally Id go atleast gt3076r.

As for the p28 = b16, if its turbo its chipped and chipped = any motor

I prefer to peice a kit together, usually cheaper and built to what you want it to be, not what someone says it has to be.

My intuition says don't buy a turbo kit through s-fab.com

Their website is just a little over a year old. The only page that works is the home page and the page showing what they sell. The rest of the site is missing, and shows very little establishment.

The page with the "for sale stuff" shows everyday turbo manifolds on everyday cars. More than likely a middleman of manifolds if I had to guess.

There are no turbo kits listed on thier site. More than likely they'll piece together the same turbo kit you could do on your own (as many others have), and mark it up.

Probably the last thing to consider with my above comments is the price. Companies that don't have *Customer Service/Good Products/A good Reputation will ALWAYS make sales based on price, because you're so focused on it you won't notice the lack of *See above until it's too late.

I haven't tried the new 11psi bov by TAIL , but I would suggest spending a little more money for a reputable company to watch out for you.

Stealth you took the words right out my mouth man. The only problem with piecing my own turbo kit together is 1. I don't know what is it I need to make it happen. I kind of got a blurry picture but not a clear one. For example I know I need an ECU so I bought a fresh p28. I know I need a program to tune with so I have crome downloaded to my laptop. I know I need the following manifold, turbo, BOV, waste gate, charge pipes and intercooler. The charge pipes are pretty simple you want to get a 2.5 tubing kit. The BOV I have is mind is the HKS model. For waste gate I was going to go with the Tial 38mm. For the turbo I had GT28RS in mind. Manifold I was going with a Lov Fab log to allow the use of my AC & PS still. Intercooler I'm clueless I wish there was a website where I can piece this project together. However, I was recently introduced to a peak boost kit and I like the numbers they put down

There is plenty of info on the web of what you need. On http://www.homemadeturbo.com in the forced induction forum there is a FAQ that will tell you everything you need to know. From there you can research individual items to learn more about what they do exactly, and why you don't need to buy a fancy this, when a standard that will do.

Every friday night the site goes down for a couple hours (like now), but it'll be back up soon. Oh, and don't take offense if someone calls you a dirty flaming penal felcher, they're just testing you to see if you're the kind of newb we don't like. haha. Lay low, young samarai.

.... and, as long as I don't have to cuddle or hold your hand, you can PM me if you have a question as well.

The person that runs/owns s-fab lives like 5 miles from me. He makes his own manifolds. Hes a good guy. I think theres a phone number on his site, if not i have it in my cell.

I can vouch for Brad as well . I've known him for a few years now and he is a good guy and makes his own manifolds with no middle man. I agree though his website is slacking at the moment
