does anybodyhere have lojack on their civic and how much didit cost im planing on putting lojack on my crx buti want to know its expensive
Lol... is it worth the money? Do you really have to ask?
Depends on what your car is worth to you vs what the ins co appraises it at. If you've got a $10,000 hot rod rex, and the ins co only considers it worth 1000, I would say it's pretty ******* worth it.
I take it you've never had a car stolen? I've had several cars stolen from me, and I can tell you if lojack was available in chicagoland, I'd have it in every one of my cars regardless of price.

Price of lojack varies on the options that you get. I have lojack on 2 of my cars only because it was kinda thrown in when I purchased it. I'm sure I paid for it somehow...Anyway, you can't really tell if it's worth it or not until you get your car stolen.. With lojack, at least there's a good CHANCE of your car being found. I'd say if you can afford it, go ahead and get it. It's a good product but if thieves want your car bad, they'll steal it. With or without lojack.

put it this way! if you have a semi stock honda civic.. i say f-tat you dont need lo-jack. but if its a "beefed up" honda and if its a car that is very sentimental to you.. get lo-jack! well worth the money. my homie got his type R stolen in fresno, CA and the PIGS found his car in less than 20 mins. he just saved his type R from being strip down and cut to pieces by them getho thugs.
Spend the same on a good GPS alarm system. It will call or text you if your car is being moved, you can track it on your iphone and direct the cops to the spot without asking them to do extra work of tracking.

got that in my car, cheaper faster response. I paid $100 on the system and get Unlimited TXT message plan on my phone for $25/month (family plan)
I have friend with LoJack in his DC2, + club steering wheel and clutch lock, 4 kill switches, remove the ECU, park sandwiches between two car and it's gone. And still the car never found to this day.
well i payed almost 1k for mine. it is worth it. the reason why a say this is cuz i tried the device, meaning that my friend actually took my car and i reported stolen to see if they could find it. im not going to lie to go, in about 15 minutes the police called me to tell me they had found it. if our wondering about what happened to my friend. he didn't get caught.lol.

LoJack's site lists the counties it works in. I've also posted an image with all those counties in the US highlighted. It mostly works along the coat and in metropolitan areas it seems. It could be worth it, depending on where you live.

This member/customer payed $900 for this.
And this is what you pay for. $700-1k and the install suck. I can post more pictures of the crappy work most installers do. And most theives know were to look and its not hard to find.
I turned lo-jack down as a installer/dealer as they will not let you do any kind of real stealth install. It has to be able to be serviced real quick if needs be.
I personaly have lojack in one of my cars. But It came from the dealer and I re-installed it correctly. Better then not having anything thou. And lo jacks ews really sucks *****. My unit called me 20 mins after the car was moved. My mobile iq unit called me in 8 seconds as allways.
