So I have the HKS SSQ blow off valve. I recently noticed they sell 2 different fins for it, One is purplke, one is gold.

There suppos to emit a different sound. Does anyone have experience with them? Im curious to how differnet they sound? The gold find looks just like the silver one it comes with stock. I dont see how its going to be different, or is it just another gimmik to make people spend money?

 

id like to know this also, i cant find anyone that has tried both. all i find are descriptions of what there supposed to do. some 1st hand experience would be great.

the gold is a lower tone than the purple

 

the one that looks similar to original one is going to sound the same, the other one of course will sound different. if you search arvhives theare are answers to this question explaining difference in sound

 

yea, i dont see how the gold one would do anything, looks the same as the silvber one that comes on it stock. Id like to hear clips of the purple one, I heard its like a squirrl ish sound. Probably like the skyline from 2fast 2 furious?

haha I had them before and sold one to a homie with a wrx the purple one sounded the same and the gold one was like if you made your mouth into a big O and blow. Yeah it was that quite.

And yes I sold him one he tried out both lol.

what the hell isn't rice nowadays?
who gives a **** if someone cares about how the bov sounds? I HATE the sound of the ssqv and if i can change the sound of it for like 20bucks, I'd much rather prefer to do that as opposed to buying a dif bov.
BUT YUPP, you're right. That's just as rice as buying one of those "turbo inserts" for your muffler or one of those electric superchargers or altezza tails. Now people can't care about the sound of their car b/c it's rice. Go expletive youself
