b16a2.............car won't redline?????
Aite guyz ihope yall can share your knowledge wit me.. I got a 90 civic with a b16a2. Car waz drivin ghood then for sum reason it won't redline no more.... Umm itz not the timing, or the computer...... The car isn't throwin out a check engine light either... I'm completely lost, had a friend that said oil waz gettin into the vtec solenoid?,?? Wat do u guys think??
my car used 2 hit 7000 rpm.......... as a redline limit, but after an hour of drivin it stop and it hit 6000 but real slowly and it feelz like itz holdin bakk. the v-tec hit hard at 5000 though.......... im lost???

Check your timing, mechanical and electrical; also make sure there are no extra-ordinary restrictions in your intake or exhaust system, i.e. collapsed air filter or clogged catalytic converter.

Any of the ECU's mentioned that aren't a stock replacement of your current one are all OBD-1, so if you have not converted to OBD-1 electronics than the work goes up a bit to get this done. Or in other words:

oh if its still obd0 than a pr3 would work fine.....it wont throw a code becuase the ecu isnt chipped, its just that a p28 has stock maps for a 1.6 soch vtec not 1.6 dohc vtec so ur car wouldnt run great with a stock p28....p30 yea cus it came out of a b16 del sol n if its obd0 like i said the pr3 would be fine cus it came out of jdm b16 crx's
