Ok so today i put in my new mounts(innovative b16a w/lsd in ej2/eg6) and new shifter bushings, the car shakes a little, Expected...
Well I got gas and as i was leaving I could not get it into any gear WTF? and the clutch was engaging at the bottom not the top, looked at the clutch fluid and it was full. Cut it off for a few seconds and it would get into gear just harder than before the new mounts. Now its harder to shift into any gear while driving, especially downshifting into 2nd?? IDEAS?? SOLUTIONS??

I have an hmo obd1 b16a w/lsd, new master cylinder, and when reversing it really shakes/rattles/knocks badly!, also when first rolling in 1st it makes a knocking sound from the passenger side(??LSD??CLUTCH??AXEL??)

 

I deff. would not drive it until you get it checked out.

 

Check your clutch fluid level, clutch line leaks, clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder. Your clutch hydraulic system is not working right causing your clutch to be engaged even if you step on it. This explains your difficulty engaging gear and clutch pedal stuck to the floor.

 

It happened this morning too, but it seems to just start working all of a sudden shortly after starting it up, The clutch wont fully disengage. but after 30 seconds it seemed 75% better and will disengage.

Could the shaking be putting air in the clutch lines??

 

Well it is really random when it happens, installed my new slave cylinder, so it cant be the master or slave cylinder.
btw it isnt the hydraulic system i believe

It will get into gear but it will engage 1 cenimeter from the floor not near the top, then 3 tries later it will engage at the top like normal?

If anyone has any tips or helpful info please feel free to give it.

 

Did you try adjusting your clutch pedal? It could be pushing too little of the master cylinder piston in.

 

Since the clutch is engaging at different points, it seems that the hydraulic system could be at fault, but since your fluid is ok I would say that it's ok.

How old is your throwout bearing? Worn or new and not lubricated properly? I'm wondering if it's possible that your tob isn't seated properly on the throwout fork, therefore causing the varying engagement as well as the knocking sound (against the pressure plate).

Also, since you changed your shifter bushings, make sure your shift lever is bolted properly to the linkage now. That may account for your difficulty in finding the gates when shifting.

 

Haha well it was a piece of metal about 2.5 inches long that broke off the clutch disc near the springs. The metal was getting caught in between the pp and clutch disc, letting the clutch grab at different spots and not moving the car!!!

what he said.. and also try bleeding the system too

same thing happened to me too.. I had to adjust the clutch pedal play.
