Default Crx wiring harness question.

Well since i have a specific question. I couldnt really find it elsewhere. I had gotten a 91 crx si roller. I was missing the engine harness so i went and pick up a si one from the junkyard. Put into the car and well it doenst meet up with the driver side. I have a circle plug in there now. The engine harness has a sqaure plug. Now im thinking the chassis harness was replace. One, the engine harness plug thing. Two, i missing some connectors under the dash. IE. little relay right behind the hood pop, and the clutch pedal. I have no clue what the little relay is.

So is the circle plug from a base, hf model and the square the Si model?

There is a difference between 88-89 wire harnesses and 90-91 harnesses. This will not work for you, even if get rid of the clips and put the wires together.

Damn. Ok. So the 90-91 harness will have a circle clip on the driver side that hooks up the engine harness?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by duckmanEG &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">So is the circle plug from a base, hf model and the square the Si model?</TD></TR></TABLE>the 88 Si is the only one with the square 6-wire connector, since it doesn't have a Fast Idle Control Valve - 89-91 Si all have the round 8-wire connector - 88-91 HF also have the round 8-wire connector, but the harnesses are not the same as the Si - you have 88 Si harness - you can just put a round 8-wire connector onto your harness (matching wire colors at both sides of the connection) and the 88 harness will work - if you have 89-91 Si engine, it just won't have a working Fast Idle Control Valve - if you are doing a swap, the wires you will be missing aren't needed anyway
