Default DA axle question. Are both sides the same?or is there actually a diference?need the correct ones.

i have a 92 cx hatch but when i got my motor it had what i believe are the 93 DA axles the problem is i have never had actual 94-2001 dc axles which the mid shaft has the male sticking out instead of the female midshafts as the DA's have.i got my replacement axles from autozone since i have warranty but i mikxed up the axles. I don't know which one is for what side.I heard that no matter what they are the same and there is no diff between right or left.is this true or is it going to be a biatch!

The problem now is i repalced the driver side axle and now the car vibrates bad.when i make left turns or leave the car on neutral while rolling or leave it on gear but let off the gas it goes away. It vibrates when i drive straight or make right turns.is it the axle?everything is tightened down trust me i made sure. I'm thinking on replacing my tie rods, lower ball joints and exchanging the axles again.
what do you think.
Now i think i have the DA axles but the motor came of a 97 ek coupe. The guy said the axles were from a 99 si. are the 99 si axles the same as Dc or DA? and if so which ones are the same(so i can mix and match).i think its vibrating since i think they are DA axles and i replaced one already.maybe i do need the Si axles.

if one of them does not have a c-clip on the transmission side, it is the driver axle, but maybe they both have c-clips. what transmission are you using? and what year?

Both have C-clips and they are slightly different. To confirm this yourself, look up the parts on any site and see if they are the same part numbers. One side has longer splines than the other if I remember correctly, been awhile.

Lay both the axles out next to each other. The end with the clips, are the splines the same length?

1 side will have longer splines. That is the drivers side that goes into the intermediate shaft. The other that has shorter splines goes on the passenger side directly into the transmission.

The axles are different. The passenger side has a male end with splines the goes into the tranny. The driver side has splines as well but is a female to accept the intermediate shaft.

Not on 93 DA axles, both axles have male ends, but one has shorter splines. Maybe he has an intermediate shaft that accepts the same axle as his passenger side, because he swears they are the same and that it worked before.
