Default hood latch cable on JDM front...besides da cable, what else will work?

did a search to see what else would work besides the da cable, people mentioned the accord cable would work, but what year? Anyone else tried something else? what is the exact difference in length between the da and db? if you relocate the db cable inside the engine compartment, will you be able to use the db cable then? thanks!

You could use your stock cable and just move it to the other side, it will just rest under the glove box and work perfectly. Thats what i did to mine and i had no problems with it and it was very easy to do.

96-01 civic cable will work it will be a tad longer but u dont want it too tight so some slack is good to leave u room to play with. dunno about the accord but that should be long enough

thank you! honda accord hood cables cost 10 bucks at the stealership, much cheaper than the da cable which runs close to 40 bucks. acura sells you the cable with the pull handle.
