Default New Exhaust System

I just put on a 4-1 dc headers with a high flow cat with a 2.25 piping into a twin loop exhaust. It pulls HARD and i love it, but its too loud for me. If i put on a resonator would it be quiet?? i heard it would but i will lose the power. Anyone have any ideas?? Has anyone tried it before and still kept the power? let me know thanks

Just add a resonator, the crazy power you are feeling is in your head. Just because it is louder doesn't always mean it is faster.

I doubt there is even much difference from changing the exhaust.

And you Definitely will Not notice any type of difference in power from adding on a resonator.

well thats what i thought, I thought it was suppost to be quiet, but I really do notice a Big difference in toruqe. I have a lot more low end power then i did before, but some guys here at the performance shop said that its loud because of the high flow cat, I no just because it louder doesnt mean that its faster. I know power, I'm not like those kids back a few years ago in high school that thinks a sticker can add hp haha. And just to get an idea of how loud it is, When i turn the music close to max, i can barely hear the music.

When you say highflow .. where did you get it from?

Because it might not really be an actual cat depending on where you got it from,
if you can see through it, then it's just a high flow "resonator".

i dont see how its that loud with a twin loop and only 2.25" piping. you probaly have a straight threw cat which isnt helping u since ur not boosting, get a real hi flow cat and then maybe add a resonator in thier, should be real nice tone then

I think its going to be loud either way because I have a 4-1 DC header with 2.25 piping into a skunk2 muffler and I also have a resonator and it is still loud so.

Try a 4-2-1 header with 2.5" pipe no cat just a muffler and then say you have a LOUD exhaust.

I might as well just stayed with straight pipe out the side. I don't even listen to my cd player.

If you want a quieter exhaust, you have to have a cat or as many resonators you can fit, or go with a chambered muffler. Quiet performance is a quest for many of us, too bad not all of us.
