Default Tell me what you think about these mounts

2yrs ago I was going to do a H swap in my EK and purchased mounts from Full-Race. I since changed my mind and went with a K swap so therefore I did not need the mounts. A member contacted me about them, asked no questions, and the deal was done.

I get a call today saying there are deep gouges as well as scratches all over them and they are in horrible condition. I purchased these from Full Race over two years ago. They arrived to my shop and sat on my desk for about 2 days until I took them home and they sat in a closet. The pictures below are exactly how they looked prior to shipment about 3 weeks ago. Upon shipment I even went back and bubble wrapped the aluminum mounts individually so they wouldn't get banged up.

He called me today all pissed off saying the mounts are completely gouged and scratched. He continued to yell and complain saying he cannot put these in his car while some kid yelled screamed and cried in the background. He also yelled about making a thread on the forum about me so I figured I would be the first one to do so. I run my own business and I am also a mod on the board. I am a very reputable guy and I would not mislabel anything I sell.

Please look at the pictures below and tell me what you think and if I am a scammer.

What I dont understand as these kids are complaining of motor mounts being scratched? I mean come the expletive on! They are motor mounts not rims or a lip or anything of cosmetic matter. At the end of the day no matter how many scratches they are still motor mounts made by hasport.

This just in:

I told him if the mounts were in bad condition something must have happened during shipping. He told me there was no way it could have happened because they were bubble wrapped.

So now he sends me a picture of this:

This was NOT on the mounts prior to shipment. So either he dropped them or they were damaged in shipping as I told him before. So I will be calling UPS tomorrow and filing a claim. The funny thing about this is that I bought a clutch from him last year that did not work. I sent the clutch back to him and he said it never arrived. I filed a claim with UPS and then he was reimbursed.

Again, the only reason I made this thread was because he threatened to make one flaming me first.

... You would probably bang the mounts up more putting the engine in, than the damage that you're showing.

thats only on one mount.... I want to say the drivers side mount with the engraving...

but the small scratched could be wet sanded and polished out but the big nicks are from someone dropping them onto concret/floor/road or something

This maybe the problem the brackets were not wraped in anything in the box and the driverside looks like this, so maybe they got beat together, but again I didn't pack it....I just opened it so it's not my fault.

The funny think was when you couldn't put the brand new clutch in, what did I do.....refunded your money no questions asked and I waited months for my money to arrive and didn't bitch one time about it. I have a problem with what you packed up and you take no blame and so I quess I'll be waiting again for my money, no big deal

Another tale, that was my 2 year old son crying in the backround, it was only me bitching on the phone.

You sold me a broken clutch that did not work. You told me prior to the purchase it was new and there were no problems with it. I shipped the clutch back to you then all of a sudden it dissappeared after UPS said it was delivered at your front door.

Upon our transaction you had access to the pictures of the mounts. I told you they were new and never used. The mounts are in fact new and were never used. It's obvious that they must have been damaged during shipping. So I'll file a claim with UPS but I kept my end of the bargain up. After yellling at me on the phone and cussing me out accompanied by having a crying child screaming into my ear I am reluctant to even waste my time with filing a claim with UPS. I will tell you that I kept my end of the bargain and you received what you paid for. As far as a refund goes, that's up to UPS. The mounts were packed in bubble wrap and packaing peanuts were also used. Everyone on the board pretty much agree's that you are being a big cry baby about this. If this had been a business transaction it would be one thing, but this was a personal purchase you made with me.

In the 2 years I've had my UPS account I've only had 2 issues with damaged/lost goods. It's kind of ironic that one of them was from you now the 3rd instance is also you.

Is your car a "SHOW" car or what? Is all this anger worth some minor shipping scratches? Its obvious that Anthony didnt send them like that so be a little more understanding and not so quick to ruin someone's reputation. Scratches happen.... Life isn't fair.
