Default b20vtec

just a quick question about pistons for a b20vtec setup.. I did search and all im wondering is if the stock pistons would be fine? i am aware of the valve relief for vtec but is it necessary to change the pistons?

I'm not sure what you're asking for...but if you would like to make a bit more power you should look into sleeving your block and upgrading your pistons to higher compression. The b20 sleeves are weak and i believe the weakest of all bseries motors.

FYI the oem pistons on the usdm b20Z are a bit higher compression versus the jdm b20b. Either way you can always slap a vtec head on but knw that depending on how high (rpm) you take it up ...you increase the chances of busting ur sleeves...faster....

hope that helps homie
