Default HFP muffler with megan midpipe

does anyone have this combo? thoughts on good idea or bad?

i think im going to go with this. about 300 for the axel back and 200 for the midpipe gives me a 500 cat back not expecting great gains from this but it should breath a little better. i just cant find an exhaust i like. evo to big a can, skunk2 to loud, etc...

i also live in the smog and legal state (cali) so interested in staying quiet and legal.

for the coin you're going to spend on that setup, you can get something ALOT nicer & that will perform better.

for a quiet setup..... Apexi WS

* keep in mind NO CATBACK will be quiet.... but Skunk 2 is the loudest & HFP being the lowest.... WS is mid.

X thanks for the link...i remember that exhaust for the dc2's. a lot of people seemed to like it.

im looking for a little increase in sound, good appearance, and a small bump in performance would be nice.

i plan to run a cai, hondata img, reflash, and maybe a carb legal street header if one comes out. so you can see that im not looking for huge gains but a figured a 2.5" mid pipe connected to the hfp axle back would help relieve a little back pressure.

not like im going to see huge gains from this setup or a cat back exhaust alone anyway.

Don't brand new cars in Cali not have to be smogged for 6 years? F that CARB ish unless you worried about the 5-0 but chances are they can't see your header .

Check out the link and it says it's 2.25" pipping = Gay! If it's a midpipe I think this would be great for me. I will be buying a SSR header soon and still want to run the stock muffler. Add this mid-pipe which should be 2.5" and it's not a bad setup.

The description is copied from the ep3 chassis for ALL megan's midpipes

Call megan directly ( ask for Jose )

he will give you the exact spec's on the unit.

i like your thinking with the ssr header...but i wont run a test pipe so a high flow cat might be in order

i like the sound and look of the HFP muffler and hope adding the megan midpipe will flow a little better and not add any farting or resonating in the cabin and not add to much noise
