Default Looking for a nice, cheap standalone wideband setup.

I am trying to find a wideband setup that is a standalone system. Not one that you have to integrate all into the wiring harness, just one you hook up to power, ground, and setup the wideband sensor.

I would prefer a gauge type, but a boxy one would be ok to I guess. I was looking at the AEM kit, but started to hear alot of bad things about it...

So it doesn't integrate into the car's wiring harness at all? Completely standalone besides the power and ground wires? That's what is so attractive about it to me...

you can intergrate if you want, but dont have to. it has the extra wires to hook to your ems, but you dont have to use those.

pretty much all widebands can be standalone but you are going to have to have 2 bungs in the dp so you can keep your stock sensor as well. the plx m300 is a nice unit but they also make a gauge type as well.

also if you want to datalog you are going to have to integrate it into your ems. its very simple to add one or two more wires.

Crome. I'm having my tuner disable the 02 (matt shue, actually, lol), and I just want a standalone wideband. I am not interested in datalogging or anything.

so you are just going to run open loop all the time and not datalog. in that case you can replace the stock o2 completely and hook up the power and ground and be good to go.

Doesn't the LC-1 wire in as standalone if you want it to?

yeah, but it doesn't display your A/F on anything. LC-1 has controller built into the cabling. you have to hook it up to a laptop and use the Innovative software to view the A/F , or you can of course integrate it into your engine management (hondata S300, etc)

the LM-1 comes with the "box"

and the PLX M-300 is similar to that.

I had the AEM UEGO, that is the biggest POS ive ever used. Ive had a PLXm300, and now have a Innovative XD-16 wideband gauge, its a very nice quality unit!

PLX M300 is incredibly difficult to read in the sun light. Otherwise its a fantastic unit. Bang for the buck is the Moates Ometer and the LC1 from Xenocron though.
