F-Max Kit Installation - Any surprises?
I ordered my kit about 4 weeks ago and I've been corresponding with the salesman and he estimates that I will have my kit by the beginning of June. I know I'm not getting my hopes up but I just wanted to know if I should be aware of any surprised for those HT members who have installed this kit before. It doesn't matter to me what generation you have; I just want to know if I should purchase anything additional or be prepared for any surprises. Thanks and I will post dyno sheets once everything is finished.
congrats. i really like the fmax kit. the only thing i can say is that my cousin has this kit on his 5th gen lude and he loves it. he didn't have to buy anything additional, everything comes in the package. thats all i know.
btw hes running only 6psi on stock internals, hes playing it safe for now.
good luck

do you know how the mf2 is working for your cousin? i have an fmax kit laying here, and i dont know whether to ditch that and go w/ a fmu/missing link until i get hondata.

Get a Hondata? Jump in the bandwagon folks but thats a waste of money for this guy
If this kit comes with an FMU, your stock ecu should be just fine provided that you boost within reasonable amounts. Stock ECU's in most cases are good for 12psi.
I installed a DRAG2 on my 94 Sedan it was just fine. The manifold warped after a few months but that was fixed for only $20.
