Hye guys, im looking for a nice affordable helmet. I dont want to spend too much... $50-$100 .... Anything is better than renting at the track. But i dont know what to get. I got this info off my local tracks web page, but i really dont understand any of it ... its over my head.

Maybe someone can help me out???

Can you actualy get a good safe helmet for $50, or does that just not exsist???

 

I am sure you can find a cheap helmet for 50 bucks but I always put safety first.

 

i belive i paid around 45 bucks for a bmx helmet back in the day. skater style helmet... not some racer ****.

a while ago i got a 90 snell approved helmet from a honda dealer. (streetbike dealer) no frills open face, thats it just a helmet.
i got an open face bell from summit has a visor. i dont like closed face helmets.

Try a 1940's leather football helmet.

 

get something with a 2000 rating or higher or it won't pass tech. Spend a little extra for something you are comfortable in.

I got mine from helmetcity.com for a good price, also, try summitt or jegs.

go to a motorcycle shop and you can find a helmet. 50 bucks or under tho? good luck. A good snell rated helmet will probally cost you at least 150.

 

how much are the shoes you're wearing today? $100? $150?

now, how much did you say you're willing to spend on the helmet that protects your head in an automobile going 50 / 75 / 100+ mph?
