IGNITION SETUPS!
I'm considering a new ignition setup (probably MSD), and I'd like to see what you all motor guys are running setup wise. Let me know the ups and downs of your ignition setup, and what package you most recommend for a high compression, high revving allmotor setup.
Thanks in advance.

stock igition..no need for aftermarket igition systems if u aren't making an insane amount of power why change/

The weakest link in the Civic ignition system is generally considered to be the in cap coil. Most people just switch this out to an MSD style external coil which I have also done. My reasoning for doing so was because I also run nitrous, it wasn't something I did to increase power and I certainly never noticed a difference over my stock ignition. If it's power you're after, look in other areas.

If reliability is what you're after, stock (everything) ignition is always best since that's what it was designed for.

i meant stupid in a good way lol
i think that is puching it. u gotta run non pump gas at that ratio so i would say at least get a better coil wouldnt hurt and they are pretty relaible

Accel makes an in cap high output coil (only $40). I bought one last week when I took my msd ignition off, I can't really tell any difference between the two. The car does idle better with the in cap coil, and might be a little more responsive down low. I will dyno soon.
