Mugen 26mm Rear Sway bar
UPDATE: Page 8.
I probably should've made this post eariler... I recently purchased my itr, and it was supposed to come with the mugen 26mm rear sway bar. I Looked under the car when I bought it and asked him if the mugen sway bar was still on. He said yes and I didn't know what to look for so I trusted him. Now that I have the car at home and I look at it, it does seem a little small. And I noticed that the shocks are covered in grease and dirt, but someone recently had been under the car. On the shocks next to the sway bar, some of the grime is wiped away.
I'm not sure what tool to used to measure the bar, and I was hopeing there was another way of recognizing that it was the real mugen bar. Can anyone help me out? Pictures or info. Thanks

or you could make a guage for it with a metric ruler some rubber bands and some pencils or other straight edges. Just make sure they're perpendicular to the ruler and adjust until they're close against the bar. You'll easily be able to tell the difference between 22mm and 26mm.......and its free and takes about 2 minutes.

Sure, use some geometry to figure out the diameter. Take a piece of string, wrap the bar once with it. Measure the string.
d = C/pi
C = circumference
d = diameter
pi = 3.14
Of course measure the string in mm or you'll have the wrong units

That will work perfectly also.

Even better, close an adjustable wrench down on the bar then measure the opening of the wrench with the ruler.

you wouldn't necesarily have the Mugen bushings though.

sneaky
sneaky
I think the point of that pic is to show that the US STOCK ITRs come with a bushing that shows 22 on it.
And that other bushing is supposed to be a mugen, either way there is a big difference in the hole size if put side by side.
Stop all being so negative
If the OP wants to verify his rear sway bar then pull out the bushing and sneak a peak at the writing on it or measure it (i'll measure mine). It could very well be stock, the US rear sway bar looks like a monster compared to some other stock rear sway bars (hence getting worried or swindled.)

I'm just saying it makes alot more sense to measure the bar rather than the bushing. Especially since the bushing can easily and is fairly likely to change and the bar is the one constant.

Damn!, Is that what I can sell it for?
