Default CRV Wont start, ran out of gas...

my friend has a honda CRV and she ran out of gas... then she parked it on her neihborhood and put gas and the car wont start...

I know theres a procedure to do to a car when you run out of gas and put gas in, any suggestions please?

I need ti hep her cuz she works tomorrow

click they key a couple times, to cycle the fuel pump... but thats weird...

update? sometimes when honda's run out of fuel it kills the fuel pump. seen it happen on a dc2, ej1, and my brothers ef. good luck

i believe the fuel cools the pump, so he's right ^, it could be burnt up

Running any vehicle out of gas will cause the pump to pick up all the crap at the bottom of the gas tank, burning up the pump or clogging the fuel filter.

i once read somewhere that you have to put a minimum of like 3 gals in the tank for the pump to reprime. I have never ever been able to verify this, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure JIC.
