Combustion chamber damage? What to do
Well about a month ago my gsr threw a rod. Put a hole through my block and all that good stuff. Well the combustion chamber seems a to have a little bit of damage from what i can tell but i am not sure.

What do you guys think i should do. This is going into a ls/vtec

A good a machine shop can weld on some new material and will re-CC the chambers for equality. But it might be a pretty penny. Price out a used head for comparison.
i cant tell **** from those pics. Next time you need to take a pic that close use the symbol on the camera that looks like a flower. It helps tremdously...

my old gsr head looked the same with lil metal burrs sticking up everywhere. send it to a machine shop and they will clean it and dremel it so its all smoothed out, will probaly make a better seal too once its all cleaned

serious man. it looks like it totally missed the valve seat. if there is no damage, then just smooth the edge of where it tapped the head and run it.

why risk having to tear it back apart when its all of what $125 at most to have a head pressure tested and hottanked??
i would recommend a valve job at the least if that valve was bent at all you will need to relap the new valve/s anyways.
