Default b16a in crx... dizzy gone bad.. what do i replace it with ?

i have a b16a in an 88 crx si... dizzy went bad and went to replace it with a new b16 dizzy from a 94 del sol... however wouldnt work cuz the connectors are different.. the harness on the car is an older one with circle connectors where as the new distributor is square.... i took the new dizzy and took all the wire pins out and rewired them to the old connector but wouldnt start.. no luck ..... now im trying to figure what the distributor that was on the car came from... and im thinking an older gsr? i tried a dizzy from a 91 ls integra and the connectors were the same but the bolt holes were not even close cuz the spool valve was in the way... please just let me know cuz i know someone has gone through this before... thanks for any help possible

all b series vtec dizzy's are the same it depends on the year for plugs if your running non obd find a non obd or obd0 vtec dizzy if you converted to obd1 find a obd1 dizzy

you can gut your old dizzy and replace the internals. Or just get a 90-93 integra dizzy and cut a leg off.

u need the td-22 u ...the 93 gsr is obd 1 and will not work.you will not be able to use any non vtec dizzys because the clips will work but the bolt holes will not...i would buy the spare dizzy off of CRX_ SI-R or look on ebay..i paid $160 from tiger Japanese off ebay ....

just replace the internals, no need getting a new dizzy if only the ignitor or coil is bad.

its not the coil or ignitor... its locked up completely so actually those are probably still good! and it is an obd0 distributor... i tried using an obd1 distributor and rewiring it to use the same type connector but the ecm wont read obd1 on an obd0 car... but i didnt think of it at the time... so i just overnighted an 0bd0 dizzy but thanks for all the help
