Default Need something cleared out, h22a head milled...

i need something cleared out..
I have my head milled about 0.021" (0.55mm)
And i'm going to run type-s pistons or the mahle 11.5:1 pistons.
But that's not the problem, i read something about the timing here.
Where do i change it? on the camgears? so i need adjustable cam gears?
what i heard, that it was about 1 degree every 0.010" milling.

is that correct?

or is it just possible to drive this in the beginning and let it get tuned?

You'll need adjustable cam gears to adjust the cam timing. You'll need to degree them in order to get the timing set back to stock.

And that should be about 2 degress clockwise or?
because i read here it was about 1 degree every 0.010" mill with a h22a.

Let me know.

he knows that....

honestly, you can just retard the timing on the distributor just to be safe, get you some adjustable gears, and get it tuned. Let the tuner do it if you are not sure what you are doing.

how much can i retard the timing on the distributor to be safe?
And witch side do i turn it?
I want get a set of adjustable forum racing cam gears.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Forum-Raci...wItem

That would do the job on my h22a? my engine needs to run first.. and then take it to the tuner.

well...

you think about it...

looking at the dizzy from the pass. side of the car, you want to retard it by turning it clockwise(to the right)...I think I am right on this one. Not sure how much you can do it, but just start it up with the dizzy in the middle, and just turn it to the right.
