hey i'm new here. i just picked up a 93 accord that hasn't had a tune up in along time. i just replaced the plugs, air filter, pcv valve, and gave it an oil change. prior to those things i was getting about 22-23 mpg. now i get about 25-26. is that all i can expect? what else would improve my mpg? my old 87 accord used to get 30-31, even right up to the end. currently there is about 220,000 miles on it.

and just in case your wondering i didn't buy it, i got it for free. BUT with that many miles on it everything works surprisingly well.

over/under inflated tires are killer on mpg's

 

For in town, it's a good milage, for the highway it's low.

1badd -- Why is over inflation hard on milage? (It causes uneven tire wear, though.)
