Default H22 in CRX do-able?

I've heard of H22's in hatchbacks, why not CRX's. Has anyone done it? Does anyone know where i can get engine mount convertion kit for an h22 into 2G CRX?

do it! but i think you should think of how much time adn effort it is going to take to make this happen! it would be a hell of a lot cheaper to just drop in a b18c1 and build that up! just my .02 cents!

Since you're doing all the work for the H22 swap...might as well weld the wheels straight cuz you won't be able to turn anyway...hahaha...good luck bro!

here's a pic of a 90 civic with bone stock usdm h22 except for the air filter! it's a daily driver with custom made front crossmember like Z-10's understeer is minimum and not as drastic as other folks put it. if you have any Q's email me.

here's the link http://www.imagestation.com/album/in...?id=4291837295

my 91 crx was able to run 13.3@100 the swap was not as expensive or difficult as people make it sound. You can E-mail clyde@frisbeesperformance.com or call me at the shop for any questions you may have on this swap505-265-1970

yes of course it is do-able but i dont believe there is a motor mount kit for it so you will have to destroy your engine bay and say goodbye to ever getting a different swap since you have to cut the motor mounts out to make room. I would just go B20 to CRV-TEC and make that all motor.

but think about it this way, if you want a serious N/A car, that can run low 12's, and will have a hood close with ITB's the h22a isnt such a bad idea.

it will be work, and take the car out of commision for a long time, but it seems worth the effort, dont you think?

i honestly think once a lot of the K swapped EF's get finished with videos circulated this question is going to be replaced with "how to swap a k20a2 into my crx"

if you think about it, its expensive, but its destined to become the new GSR swap.

and get asked like 30 times a day.

HONDA EF 88-91 H-SERIES SWAP INFORMTION

(IF YOU UES THE H-SERIES TRANSMISSION) (Axles use)
if you the h-series tansmission you have to use the 1989 Integra axles whit the drivers
side innter cv swapped out whit the Prelude one to make ues of the Prelude I.S. only no the drivers side

( ADAPTER PLATE FOR THE H-SERIES TO B-SERIES)
if you can find one or make one.
you can use b-series mount's on the transmission

(Wiring ) you can use the hasport converion guide from O.B.D.0 to O.B.D.1 you can use the stock CRX si hariess.most of theplugs work on the h22 whit the exception of some of the sensors which were all rewired to the newer O.B.D.1 plugs .the ecu was all hardwired . so im tell you that the hardest part of this swap is going to
be the WIRING.at lest four me i suck at wiring

(ECU)
you can use p13,p28

( FRONT CROSS MEMBER)
you have to get a front cross member you can get a place racing one or jim fab will work as well.

( MOTOR MOUNT'S)
you have to make comtostom mount's

(CLUTCH CABLE )
you have to make a bracket and use the stock ef clutch cable

(comtostom cuting work that has to be done)
you have cut the frame near the crank pulley and the tranny side .
you have to cut the left headlight bracket to give the alternator clearance
and run a smaller belt .

(STRUT FORKS)
you have to swap the strut forks from side to side to give the axles more clearance . it makes about 1/2 "of more room

(shiftter assembly and cabless)
same as doing it in an eg/ek

(the driver side tie bar)
the front lower cross member to the lower control arm
you just heat it up and bend it

here you go yes you can talk to 2point2 or thisone both good people

h22a crx's are rarely out there but the one thathave been done seem to be performing fine i on the other hand am waiting for the hasport mounts for the h22 in a crx then i plan on incorperating some of my own ideas for the swap as well as the things that work from others such as 2point2 since he says it a street driven car and it's not to bad in the turn since the postions he had his axles set at i plan to use simular if not identical methods if you want a cheaper than k20 swap and yet can be reliable based on how much engineering you put into it you'll only get back what you put in people shouldn't be scared of this swap but i'm glad they are so that it wont be so common in my area

Seriously i think 90% of you people are talking out your *** about understeer. You've never been in a H22 CRX to know for sure, you just "think" thats what will happen.

I want to hear KS-R and 2point2 say understeer is that bad, until then i dont believe it. Add some weight to the rear for balancing, it'll still be fast enough. Besides who road races? I just want to do the swap.. . to do the swap!!!! lol I probably won't even beat on it. (too often)

The Rywire H22 project starts in August, right after CRXPO.
